Cannot create group, edit profile, add as friend or post to wire

    Have just created a fresh install using the Combo Download. The site is up and running but I get error messages for all of the following tasks:

    1. Create a group (I get ‘There was an error saving group details’)

    2. Edit profile (‘That group does not exist’)

    3. Add someone as a friend (‘Freind could not be requested’)

    4. Post a message to my wire (‘Wire message could not be posted. Please try again’)

    I wonder if I’ve set up something wrong or a file doesn’t have the correct permissions or something.

    Can anyone help please?

    Do you have mu setup, configured and running correctly? Can you create new blogs, post to those blogs… Look at your apache/php error logs what do they say?

    Thanks for the quick reply!

    I just tried creating a new blog. I got this error message:

    “The blog you have requested is not installed properly. Please contact the system administrator.”

    Sorry I don’t know how to look at Apache and PHP error logs, though I’m happy to try if someone shows me how to.
