Can’t access a group I created

  • Hi, I’m new to Buddypress, installed it to test for a mentoring charity I help out with.

Anyway, the problem: My buddypress is installed under mydomain.com/mentors and I created a group called mentors. When I go to Groups mydomain.com/mentors/groups/ I see it listed, but when I click on the link to the group, I get nothing, it stays on the same page. The link is to mydomain.com/mentors/groups/mentors. I have created another group and it works fine.

Is there a problem if the group name is same name as the directory Buddypress is installed in? How can I delete this group?

    I’m using WordPress 3.1.2 and Buddypress 1.2.8

  • Ah, yes; you’ve run into a known issue when if WordPress is in a subdir, the BuddyPress URL can’t share any of the same words. In this case, you need to rename the mentors group to something else.

Thanks for confirming, but I can’t select the group to rename or delete it from the admin page. Is there another way of doing this?
