Can't find "upgrade automatically" link to upgrade to BP 1.0.3

I have just updated my WMPU install to 2.8.3 and I am trying to upgrade from BP 1.0.1 to BP 1.0.3 using the plugin updater.

My problem is that I can not find the “upgrade automatically” link to start the upgrade…

Is there a setting I need to change to make the “upgrade automatically” link appear?

Sorry if this is a repost – have searched BP, WP and MPMU forums, but can’t seem to find out how to get the link to appear.

Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, so you’ve successfully upgraded to WPMU 2.8.3.

Did you finish the WPMU upgrade by logging into the backend as the Site Admin and going to “Site Admin > Upgrade” and hitting the “Upgrade Site” button?

After that, you go to Plugins menu group and under your BuddyPress plugin, it should say:

There is a new version of BuddyPress available. View version 1.0.3 Details or upgrade automatically.

Hi Jeff and thanks for your reply.

Yes, I finished the WPMU upgrade by pressing the “Upgrade Site” button – it gave me the “All done” message when it completed.

I still do not have the “upgrade automatically” link.

I recall reading another post earlier where I think Andy said something about pinging the server to get the upgrade (sorry can’t track the post down and I have very sketchy memory on this one). Does that mean anything???
