Can’t get members on

I am having a problem adding members. They click on the proper link, fill in the form, and then are told they will receive an email. They don’t. Am I supposed to accept them somehow? How?

Have you checked whether your server can send emails? Have your users checked their spam boxes? They ought to be receiving an email with an activation link.

So, my server sends the activation link automatically? I have set myself up and didn’t find the email in the spam box. Additional help will be appreciated.

It’s possible that the server isn’t sending any mail….

Some web hosting services need an extra plugin to send mail. I have successfully used: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ but there are others.
