change bp from activated to network activated

looks like I should had “network activated” instead of just ‘activated” via regular dashboard long ao – been running bp for a while this way, and the site is multi-site.
If I deactivate bp, then switch to the superadmin dashboard and click to activate network wide – what should I look for that may be a problem when doing this?

  • Why do you say you should have network-activated BuddyPress?

I originally set bp to just be activated from the admin dashboard – not the super-admin dashboard networkwide – and things have been mostly fine..

but I found that the plugin for showing blog author in a widget on the multi-site sub blogs needs bp to be sitewide activated ( https://buddydev.com/support/?s=User+Info+Widget&stype=all )

and now I think that doing so may resolve the problem I am having where sub account blogs that get updated are not getting updates shown and re-rodering in the “blogs activity / aka member sites” or whatever it’s called on a default install.

    – thanks for taking a minute to consider this
