Change password settings

    Hi,

We have buddypress on a clients website (used as intranet).
    Its about 200 users.
They don’t want to be able to use passwords of 8 characters and if the user chooses even use weak passwords. We advised against this but they would still really like this.

In the normal wordpress profile page you can change choose to use a weak password by checking the box.
But on the buddypress profile settings page, were the user would change his/her password, there is no checkbox for this.

Is there a way to either add this checkbox to the page or add a function that would allow these weak passwords. => I would prever to be able to customize the requirements to 8 minimal chars, 1 capital, 1 number/special char. to at least force a little bit of strength in the passwords.

I hope someone can help me on how to do this.

    Kind regards,

    Martijn

“They don’t want to be able to use passwords of 8 characters and if the user chooses even use weak passwords.”

This should be: They want to be able to use passwords of 8 characters and allow weak passwords.
