Change settings problem

Hi
Im having this weird problem
I cant seem to change settings in settings page components for buddypress
simple when i want to check something it stays unchecked and vice versa
Why is that happening does anybody knows

Give more details please.
Server type, single or multisite, new install or update, theme name, used plugins and if possible site URL.
