BuddyPress.org

I took some of the code out of my buddypress theme relating to choosing activity filters/posting updates, as my website won’t need them. The only information that I need ‘Activity’ to show is new blog post comments. How do I set the default activity filter like this?

EDIT: Really odd – on my android phone, I have the correct behaviour (which is to show all activity), but on my desktop, I only see Updates? I’ve cleared the cache on both platforms and the phone seems to work fine, unlike the desktop. Any ideas?
