Changing default avatars/gravatars

  • Anonymous

    Hi there,

    I think the randomized default gravatars on pages such as groups, blogs and events (bp-events plugin) look ugly. Is there a way to change this behaviour such as setting the grey guy as default avatar for a new user?

    Thanks in advance,

    Lars

    @djpaul

    Look in the BuddyPress options in the /wp-admin/ page

    I can only see the option for users, not for groups. Am I overseeing something?

    Only users have a setting for default avatars at the moment. Don’t be surprised if you see this option come up at a later date though.

    Thanks. I guess we’re trying to hack this for our current project.

    Any progress? I’d like to do the same.

    the default gravatars are beyond lame… they make our sites look amateurish.

    Thank you for that useful contribution to this 5 month old thread. I suggest you switch to using the “mystery man” setting and customise that graphic to something that’s more appropriate for your site.
