Changing second level slugs

Andy’s blog post shows us how to change top level slugs such as “friends” and “activity”.

How would you change a second level slug such as “add-friend” or “my-friends”? for example:

http://www.example.com/stephensmith/friends/my-friends/

This isn’t possible at the moment. There is too many hard coded URLs throughout BuddyPress.

I did just have a look at bp-friends-loader.php and can see there are lots of hard coded URLs.
