Changing the Default View to Showing “Profile” When Clicking on a Member

    I have a website I am launching that has profiles for members, but customers come to the site and search for these members and then when they get matches they click on their name to view more information. The problem is it defaults to “activity” instead of “profile”. And they don’t notice they can click profile, so I am losing a TON of value.

    I need to find a way to get the profile “tab” to be displayed when a member is clicked on, at least when not logged on. Any thoughts? Is this the right group? I am new to this board, and relatively new to buddypress, but still pretty technical and have been on a buddypress crash course the last month :).

    Thanks! David

    Classic, this piece of advice cost me 150 bucks. Worth it as I needed it, but I guess I would have hoped I could have got the answer here with my membership :). Hopefully this will save some others money, as I can’t imagine I am the only one that needs it.
    Just open wp-config.php then add one line (you can see bellow) above define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);
    define(‘BP_DEFAULT_COMPONENT’,’profile’);
    Save wp-config.php.
    That’s all. Check your member page.
