clicking user name gives "page not found"

Buddypress Version 1.6.4
buddy press compatible theme

when I click my username in the activity page I get:

“Page not found.
We’re sorry, but we can’t find the page that you’re looking for. Perhaps searching will help.”

any other information you need to help me with this problem please let me know.
