Hi – i also have this problem with Astra free version. The update to Astra 4.1.1 this morning broke my member directory – the main members page remains but on clicking a member profile, the page is blank except for the member’s name. Additionally the Register page content has disappeared (leaving only the title). I rolled back to a previous version of Astra and this solved the problem, but as automatic updates happen overnight (controlled by my organisation) the Astra update has reinstalled and the problem is now back. Any advice (to a non-programmer!) would be much appreciated! Thanks

I have the same problem after updating the Astra theme. What causes this problem and how to fix it?
How can I roll back the Astra theme to the previous version?

Hi – unfortunately I don’t know what causes the problem and haven’t solved it (just so far been downgrading each day to the older Astra). I used the WP Rollback plugin (and another to back up my site before rolling back). There’s a helpful video about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEZlWdO38SQ&t=322s

I have contacted Astra support too in case they can help but haven’t heard back from them yet.

Thank you. Rollback plugin helped me. But I would like the developers to fix this problem…

    Hi,
I just upgraded to Astra 4.1.2 and it seems like the members directory can not be shown. Only the page title is displayed.

If i switch to my old theme (twentyfifteen) the members directory shows up again.

Looks like there’s also an issue with Sing-up page, same issue as I described above.

I’d rather wait for an update for the plugin since my webpage is still under construction.

Hi all – update from Astra from last week:

“We received some reports about this and our development team is already checking.
For now, I recommend you update Astra to the latest available 4.1.2 version and wait for our development team’s insights if it doesn’t fix the issue.”

I have emailed today to confirm that 4.1.2 doesn’t fix the problem and ask for further update.

I have issues with Buddypress not working on my site as well. I also have Astra Pro and use Elementor to build my pages. After troubleshooting, the conflict was definitely between Buddypress and Elementor and not Astra. It didn’t matter which theme I switched to, when only Buddypress and Elementor were the only two plugins activated, my custom built Elementor login page would break. When Buddypress was deactivated, the page was editable again. I confirmed this with Tier 2 support at Elementor today. I hope that info helps others here!

Thanks for this info, @coralbeauty. That’s interesting. I also use Elementor and have noticed it behaving oddly lately (taking a long time to load pages to edit or not loading at all). However, if i leave Elementor active and change theme, my members profile pages and registration page appear again (suggesting that for me it is an Astra problem). I’m pretty sure i tried deactivating Elementor and the problem remained with the newer version of Astra.

Did Elementor offer any solutions from their side?

@katehobson, after several years of using Elementor, I’ve found that they tend to have an elitist attitude towards any theme or plugin that conflicts with theirs and always expect the third party to conform to their plugin as opposed to vice versa. Their suggestion to me was to contact Buddypress for support instead since they viewed it as a Buddypress problem and not an Elementor problem. I knew that was likely going to be their response and now I’m kicking myself for wasting over 24 hours waiting on them to forward my ticket to their Tier 2 team for the Tier 2 team only to tell me that they weren’t going to help me. I should have just contacted Buddypress immediately with my problem – not that BP is fast to respond at all. Case in point, I submitted a ticket to the BP support forum 6 months ago that still hasn’t been replied to. If this next ticket doesn’t get resolution much faster, I may be searching for an alternative to BP since this is hurting my website and is bad for business. I need something that works more consistently with better customer service. SMH… This may be one of those cases where you get what you pay for.

New version out, Astra 4.1.3 resolved the issue.
