Connecting WC Vendors with BP

    Hello,

    just to clear things – I am not a programmer, though I am familiar with some very (very) basic php.

    My question is how difficult it is to connect WC Vendors to BP? What I need is the BP to be the primary platform where the users will register into. Then they should be able to list products via WC Vendors but not as a separate user, but as the BP user. I assume the databases need to be connected somehow?

    I figured a half solution around this where I can embed the products onto BP profiles, but it doesn’t link to the BP profile, which is obviously the major issue here.

    I want to hire a programmer to do this for me, but having bad experience and getting ripped off $$$ I would like to know how difficult this is. Also if it’s only a matter of some code, I would appreciate your help and may try it myself.

    no..nothing to do with databases….wc vendor registers users as “vendor”….woocommerce registers a user as “customer”..and bp as “subscriber” but all go in one database….

    yes it wont. you need sven’s wc4bp plugin for that…google for that plugin..its a paid plugin though…

    you would be able to do this without the help of programmer if much customisation is not required by you….

    @sharmavishal Thanks for the clarification. Can you help in which database can I find these? I had a look in the wp_users and there’s only the BP one. Maybe I am too confused, sorry about that!

    As for the plugin – I don’t need any extensive integration. The only thing I need is to “merge” the WC Vendors user with the BP profile so that they are one user.

    Dont Touch db….Use plugin user role editor and add vendor role to subscriber or vice versa

    The snippet you quoted is for profile menu integration..did you use that in bp-custom.php? I would suggest check wc4bp plugin ..it would fit your requirements and is one click integration…I am using it and works great

    @sharmavishal in regards to the plugin you keep suggesting – that is a paid option. And at the moment I am in the development stage seeing what options are there to build what I need. And don’t even know if I’ll be using WP at all. So I am not really looking for paid plugins.

    No, I haven’t. I used it as it said on the “tutorial” in member-header.php copied onto the theme’s folder and didn’t see any results at all. Do I need to add anything into the bp-custom.php too?

    I would very much appreciate any practical kind of help please.
