Could I Handle Registration This Way?

    Hi,

    I am trying to set up a BuddyPress-powered site and had a question about registration.

    Many membership plugins offer a better (from the admin side) registration process than BuddyPress (BP). So, could I skip the BP registration page and use another solution to simply gather a username/password and have them fill out their BP profile after they login? I would use several tactics to encourage them to fill out their profile page as a secondary action.
