Create A Group Replaces Existing Group

I am testing WordPress 3.8.3 with BuddyPress 1.9.2 using the default Twenty Fourteen theme. (I’ve also tested using the MesoColumn theme.) I was able to create my first BuddyPress group just fine. But everytime I try to create another group by clicking on the Create A Group button on the Groups page, it replaces/updates the existing group rather than creating a new one.
How do I create a new group?
