Ello New Friends

I’m running WP 3.1

Have installed

BuddyPress 1.2.8
&
BuddyPress Template Pack 1.0.2

My web site is http://www.bigskycoast.com, a local community web site.

I have a fixed front page on the site and I’m looking to add a page that will show mine and my friends updates similar to Facebook, (I can’t even find a way to get a page with my updates on, never mind mine & my friends).

Also, I can’t find a way to display the members directory so people can add friends.

Any help appreciated.
