Creating A Custom Profile Member Page

    Hello BP Community,

I am interested in creating a custom member profile page so I can have the freedom to add each custom field in a specific location within the template. I have created a buddypress folder within my theme with the member’s folder with all the internal files. I know you are probably going to send me to this page: https://codex.buddypress.org/themes/theme-compatibility-1-7/template-hierarchy/

However, the things is, both index.php and front.php don’t exist in the “single” folder. Does anyone know why these files do not exist, and which one is the correct one to edit to change the profile page?

Also, once I get the above issue figured out, is this a legit example of how to add a custom field in the template? <?php bp_member_profile_data( 'field=profession' ); ?>

I am using the latest WordPress, Buddypress, and Avada theme. I have copied the buddypress folder into the Avada Child theme. I am on a shared hosting account with A2hosting.

    Thank you,

    James
