Creating a private community section of the Website that you need to login to see

    Hi,

I want the main part of my website to be viewable by the public but would like to create a private area of my website where members need to sign-up and log-in to view the Buddypress sections (members, groups, forums etc). I want a tab or page that prompts people to sign-up or log-in. When logged-in, users are re-directed to a feature page which allows them to navigate the BuddyPress options (viewing members/groups/forums/activity, creating groups etc etc). I have looked through a variety of plugins. BuddyPress-private-community would seem to do some of what I want but using it would seem to require quite a lot of code writing abilities (that I lack). Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any easy-to-use plugins that will help me?

I would also like to adjust the template slightly of the Buddypress pages but again it would seem to need me to change quite a lot of code in the .css file. I am using PlatformPro template so am hoping there is a way to setup something within their templates that I can use.

    Many thanks,
    Saskia

I use S2member plugin. It will handle what you are asking for. Plus a whole lot more. Be sure to read all the documentation.

Great, that plugin is perfect thank you!
All I need to work out now is how to change what template the buddypress pages (groups, forum, etc) use – any ideas?
