cross site Friend connections between buddypress installs (not multisite)

    Hi,

    I am just wondering if it is possible or if anyone has attempting something like this: Say you have two separate communities that run on different domains and different servers, but they do not wish to become a multi-site, they want to stay as separate installs.

    Would it be possible to use rss feeds and other methods to create a stream of activity on both sites?

    also and more importantly: would be it be possible to have friend connections between the users of each site?
