Custom Profile fields not showing up when not filled!!!

    The custom profile fields created in the backend are not showing up in the user’s edit profile page when they are not filled up. Even if the user hasn’t filled up a field which isn’t mandatory, I want to let the user have the possibility to later fill it if they decide, from their edit profile page. How can this is achieved?
