Custom selectbox issue

    I’ve installed a custom selectbox script in my custom buddypress template,but there is an issue with it.When I insert the script code the selectbox stops updating,for example when I click in the forums to show latest posts nothing happens,the list remains the same,but when i remove the class it starts working again.What is the problem?
