BuddyPress.org

I’m using the Jukt Micronics template on my blog/buddy press site. I’m hoping to make my blog look a little bit more like a magazine template, however I dont care for the BP mag templates that are up there. Ive been trying my hardest to customize this template but I cant seem to get any code over the content column of the site. I found a way to put content in the header, under the menu bar but then it pushes down the whole rest of the page (includng the sidebar) and I dont want to do that because my ads need to be above the fold.

So, does anyone know where in the code I can edit so that it only appears over the content? Any help is appreciated!
