Customizing/adding group user roles

    For a site I am building, I need to do two things to the user roles in groups, and was wondering how to achieve this? Or at least where to go looking for answers. :)

    1. Firstly, to add another user role, more or less at the same level as the normal Member one.
    2. Rename all of them. (This I am guessing can be achieved by monkeying with the language stuff)

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
