Development tool for BP

Hello all,
I have created a BP based (currently local) site, and I wish to extend it.
Mainly, I would like to enhance the Group section and also add new types of custom groups for BP.
Anybody knows a good tool (like gravity forms) which will enable me add functionality to BP group?
