Different Posts Showing in Group Activity Stream to Sitewide

Hi,
Apologies if this has been asked before, but I couldn’t find it anywhere.
I was wondering if it is possible to add the custom post type to the activity stream, but ensure it only shows in the group activity stream and not the sitewide stream so that there is a degree of privacy to the posts. Is this possible?
