Different types of friendships

Hi,

on my site I have two different usertypes (bands & fans).
What I want to do is to give fans the possibility to “become a fan” of a band instead of “add as friend”. The other way round, bands should be able to add fans as “add as friend”.
Is it possible to have two titles for the same button in dependency of the usertype?

Friendships need to be accepted by both parties. It could be easier for you to make all the bands ‘groups’. That way bands could invite members to become a fan and when the groups are open to accept every members, any member can become a fan with 1 click.

Next to that, fans can see other fans of the same band and become friends with each other and every band could have their own forum.

Maybe an option for you?

I thought about that option from time to time. The (your) idea is nice, but I don’t like the groups component an its possibilies. But maybe I should try again.
