BuddyPress.org

I’ve been searching high and low all day and nothing seems to really cut it that I’ve come across. I’m looking to allow our business members to have listings or directory searchable extended profiles pending their paid permission set level. I haven’t been able to decide if it’s best to do this utilizing their profiles or separate listings as some form of post/page type.

In the past (and currently) I’ve achieved this via a store plugin (though they are not store front businesses), permission sets, and different author templates to coincide. But the store plugin was customized, didn’t sync automatically, and isn’t BuddyPress compatible that I’m aware. So I’ll need another solution.

For the searchable directory I need to be able to have a Google map, search your location box, within x miles box, and category box or something similar so people can drill down to find what they want. Not just a “search member by name or picture” kinda thing. I need to be able to style it how I’d like as well.

Any ideas of a plugin that fits these needs that I might be overlooking? I can’t wait to switch from forum software to buddy/bb press combo but hitting some frustrating road bumps along the first steps. Thanks!
