Disable access to settings for a ‘Guest User’ account.

  • Hello :-)

I have created a BuddyPress website for the neighbours of a 70-apartment development.

Access to the website is not allowed if the user is not logged in. I’m using the Basic Authentication plugin:
    http://www.cuvedev.net/2010/07/wordpress-plugin-authentication/

I would like the neighbours to initially access the website using a Guest Account which I have created. Details of this Guest Account would be posted through their letter boxes so only neighbours can view the website.

    Is it possible to:

a/ Disable access to this Guest Account pages (Activity, Profile, Settings etc.) so no changes can be made to that account?

b/ Still have access to the Register page even though they are logged into the Guest Account?

I had achieved the above when just using WP and bbPress but since installing BuddyPress, I seem unable to work around this little problem.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul.
