Disabling buddybar on site – without disabling on blogs!

ive been searching this forum for days, reading EVERY post that mentions the word ‘bar’ but i cant seem to find anything that suits my needs.

it seems like all the helpful advice peaple have been giving out, is to disable the bar site wide. however i want the buddybar to still show up on the blogs.

    for example…

testbp.org/somthing – it wont show up

    somthing.testbp.org – it shows up!

is their a way to do this?

I don’t really understand when you want to disable the adminbar but this is a fairly easy thing. See: https://buddypress.org/forums/topic.php?id=1115 for the general idea.

You don’t want it on the root blog but you do want it on the subdomain blogs? You’ll have to wrap that in some blog detection code then. Disable it when global $current_blog->id is anything but 1.
