Does this feature exist?

    Hi! I’m new in wordpress and buddypress! Some friends and I are trying to create a sociel network using buddypress and everything has gone really well, but there is something we wanted to check! Few years ago there was a social network called “myyearbook” and in there you could switch tags for people next to you, for people of your state, for people of your contry and all over the world. I those walls you could see different comments of their own walls. Well, the thing is, does this feature exist? We would trully appreciate your help! Thanks for helping!!

    I leave a picture to ilustrate it better because I know that my English sucks :^(

    yes all items entered into the various profile fields should be clickable and function similarly to the way tags do in regular wordpress.

    So, by your answer I do understand that this feature of “multiple walls” exists, but I couldn’t understand what you said : (

    I mean, I have to buy a template with this feature or most of the templates have it?

    The image is showing what you would see all the time, not your wall.

    well i wasn’t referring to walls was referring to wordpress tags they operate like filters an example is here it shows member of my clients site gotgame.com that own the Atari 2600:

    Hi!! Yes it helps, we had seen this option already! Would it be possible to add a wall to each tag? I know is a little strange but our plan is to create a social network of different sports. I mean, if you like football and baseball you could mark both tags and you could see both walls with both news. We think that it would work as myyearbook’s multiple walls but we are not sure.

    I’m sure you can query the database to to accomplish what you are seeking but i’m also sure that’s well beyond my own capabilities. A decent wp or bp theme dev could probably help you more then i’d be able to.

    Profile field links search members. It will not create a filtered activity stream. This can be accomplished with custom coding.

    Thanks for your help modemlooper! The functionality is nearly the same thanks, but we decided to have different walls. I think that we will pay a designer for it. Will this be too expensive to design?

    You need a coder/developer rather than a designer (unless that person codes as well) to implement the different walls.

    i think that will depend on your definition of expensive and the scope of the project. Also the experience of your dev would probably have some kind of impact there.
