Edit Page button in admin bar is missing

I’ve only just installed BuddyPress and it took away the Edit Page button in the admin bar at the top. This is going to be a bit of a nuisance – how do I bring it back?

We’ve fixed this in the most recent commit on https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3294

You could either download the 1.5 branch version of BuddyPress from SVN (https://buddypress.svn.wordpress.org/branches/1.5/ which *should* be stable enough to use in production, or try to make the relevant code change in your version of BuddyPress.

Thank you Paul. I’m not familiar with this SVN – how do I download the whole folder structure of the plugin version you linked me to?

I’ve done some reading and it seems I don’t have the amount of control of my server to do the Subversion thing – could someone who can zip those files up for me?

At this time, changes have been made to include support for upcoming WP 3.4. which is not kosher with your current WP 3.3.1 install

In the meantime, you can already make the change to include Edit link in admin bar within your /plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-adminbar.php file – https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/5958
