Editing Members Widget and Groups Widget background

Hello. I am currently styling off the default bp theme and amd running into one nagging issue. I cannot seem to find the location to change the widgets’ background. I have used firebug to find the div, but that div doesn’t seem to be addressed in screen.css.

For a look at what I’m currently working with:

    Any help appreciated.

Line 783 and line 1801 for your members widget. I used firebug to find it btw..

Trying those now. Thanks for the quick response Xevo. Apparently I am reading the information returned by firebug incorrectly, as I thought the item was actually .vcard. I’ll update with how this goes.

EDIT: Welp, that did it. Thanks for the help there Xevo. Now I just need to find the right section to edit the ‘registered x days ago’ background.

I actually figured that one out by doing something a bit unorthodox. I used colorpic to get the code for the color and just searched the hex code in screen.css. I need to get better at reading the firebug output. Thanks for the reply nonetheless Xevo.

Since my question also has to do with widget styling on the default theme I hope it is okay to ask it here.

I am trying to make the background color for the recent site wide posts to be transparent and cant seem to figure out where this is located in my screen.css file.

You can see the white area on my homepage http://starcraft2gamer.com

    Thanks!

Check line 782, and people really shouldn’t be asking these questions, either you know how to make themes or you dont. We can’t help everyone that can’t find a css line..

Use firebug to find certain styles people..

    Thanks for the help.

I have to admit that at first I was a little annoyed with the “people really shouldn’t be asking these questions, either you know how to make themes or you dont” comment until I looked into firebug.

I have heard about it but never checked it out until now. My loss and I now realize how much time I have lost over the years without it.

Thank you for pointing me in the direction of what looks like will be my new favorite firefox extension.
