Editing MO files

    Hey,

I’m currently running a custom language file on my buddypress site, however with the new items in 1.2 there are now a lot of items which are coming up without translation.

I used PoEdit to make the original changes, will I have to go through and do a complete re-translation, or can I simply add the new phrases to my existing custom language?

    Thanks, James

Yes you can simply add the new strings. You can update your po file with the appropriate .pot file which is in each BP version update , in the bp-language folder (pot file is also avaible on the trunk)

If you use PoEdit, open the po file and use the menu – update from catalog. Choose the new .pot file, click ok and PoEdit shows you the new & obsoletes strings…
