Eliminate activation step?

    I am using an add-on plugin to BuddyPress called “BuddyPress Registration Options” from webdevstudios (http://webdevstudios.com/plugin/buddypress-registration-options/). This add-on plugin allows for moderation of new users. Since this plugin allows me to control who can access BuddyPress features, I was wondering if it is possible to eliminate the step of requiring new users to click on the activation link in the welcome email?
