embedding videos in profiles.

I’m building a group site with video and film professionals. Is there away to allow members to embed videos of their work in their profile page? Most people would be using embed codes from common sites like, youtube, vimeo, blip, viddler.

Have you tried r-a-y’s oEmbed for BuddyPress plugin?

@pcwriter – Doesn’t work for profiles at the moment. I guess I could look into adding x-profile support, though I’ll probably disable it by default.

My site is geared toward a community of folks recovering and helping others recover from addiction. I think they would find it kind of cool to be able to post a video intro of themselves in their profiles. :-)

Just installed it thanks! So I’m ready for it if you update the plug in @r-a-y. If you disable it by default can you give instructions for turning it on? It would be very useful for us video types to have a feature like that in our profiles. I see it used on a lot on sites like @pcwriter mentioned. Really the more places you can place video the better. Especially embedded video ; )

I am trying to embed Youtube video into members’ profile. Is there a filter that I can remove to enable iframes?
