BuddyPress.org

I updated wordpress to latest version, trying to update buddypress also, but no luck. The moment I hit “Network Activate,” I get a blank screen (erro 500). I deactivated everything, including older template. I can only restore the site (WP only) when I delete or rename Buddypress directory. Any idea where I should be looking? Many thanks
