Error in autocomplete Buddypress messaging – please help!

    I just reinstalled WordPress & Buddypress completely as I had problems with sending messages (see: http://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/error-in-messaging-system/)

    With a fresh install I still encounter problems: When entering the first letter of a user in the ‘Send to’ field it doesnt find the specific member in the dropdown field (although it did when I created a friendship between the members). The autocomplete doesnt seem to fuction properly.

    The layout of the dropdown box seems incorrect to me to. A lot of zebra styling appears in the box. Also when I enter the first letter of the user (B) the word ‘Blog’ appears?!

    @ultimateuser, sorry for not getting back to you. Here is a potential fix, As listed here

    In bp-messages-cssjs.php:

    Change

    `jQuery(“ul.first”).autoCompletefb({urlLookup:’root_domain . str_replace( ‘index.php’, ‘/wp-load.php’, $_SERVER ) ?>’});`

    to:

    `jQuery(“ul.first”).autoCompletefb({urlLookup:’root_domain . ‘/wp-load.php’ ?>’});`
