Error in Release Candidate 2.5

I’m seeing this notice in the logs after updating my development environment to to 2.5 RC1. Just thought I would share it here. I’m still triaging the cause.

[24-Feb-2016 03:32:34 UTC] PHP Notice: bp_setup_current_user was called incorrectly. The current user is being initialized without using $wp->init(). Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 1.7.) in /…../wordpress/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3792

    Hi @mrjarbenne

Can you open a ticket on Trac?

The cause is most likely going to be some other plugin or some code in your theme. Was there any extra information in that error log? If there’s only what you provided, there’s not enough information to help. (Try toggling plugins on/off one at a time until the issue goes away?)

Thanks @djpaul. I thought I had deactivated everything, but there was an mu-plugin initializing too early. I created a trac ticket here that can probably be closed. It looks like according to @slaFFik that there are plenty of other tickets already referencing this issue.
