Error while posting update

Mysite users are getting the following error while posting update : There was a problem posting your update. Please try again.

This error occurs only to non-admin members(like customers).

Can anyone help me out with this issue??? I’ve been finding solution for this for the last 1 day. I’ve already tried deactivating my plugins and cross checking to see which one is the source, but didn’t work for me. There seems to be no plugin issues. All plugins are up to date and functioning very well.

Indicate WP/BP version, theme, used plugins list please !

All plugins are up to date and functioning very well.

And what if incompatibility between some of them and a theme ? And why do you have an error message in this case ?

You say occurs only to non-admin members(like customers).
Is “customers” a custom role you added, as it is not a WP role.

Is the activity component activated ?

The error shows only when no activity_id is found.
Activate debug in wp-config and see the error msg you may receive.

By customer role has been automatically added by Woocommerce.
I don’t know if it’s an error or just a warning. I’m attaching a image, do have a look.

    Problem posting update

The red box in the image is the warning or error.
You can actually register as a member to the website and try posting an update with any links on any group or your own activity stream.

I’ve got the same issue! Non-admin users are getting, “There was a problem posting your update. Please try again.” when they try to include more than one hyperlink in a group post … Worse yet, the bug is appearing on both systems I maintain (although their on two different hosting services and are separate installations).

    Any help?

It is not Buddypress that is causing the error, but reflecting that a comment has been submitted that should be moderated because it looks like spam.

If you want all the links to go thru, go to the Dashboard/Settings/Discussion/Comment Moderation
and change the number of links it allows to 0. (Or maybe just up it to what you are comfortable with.)
