Hi there, I’m using Edume template by ThimPress and I just installed Buddy Press, the installation was successfull but when I moved to a different dashboard section i got the following fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_user_logged_in() in /home/amcpnl98/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-template.php on line 2140

So, now i can’t access to my admin or front end site. I have no idea about how to deactivate the plug in or how to fix this error. (I’m a web designer with basic programming knowledge). The site is almost ready and I would like to get it back to norma :(. Any help is more than welcome.

Warning: I haven’t tested this or thought it through and I’m half asleep..

For starters, if you have ftp access rename the buddypress plugin folder to something else like ‘temp-buddypress’

Log into admin panel, switch themes to twentyfifteen.

Rename buddypress back to its original name.

Check your site and admin panel to see if buddypress is working with twentyfifteen.

Here’s some troubleshooting advice from wordpress..

Thank you! I followed the login trouble WordPress suggestions and I fixed it by changing the name of the plug in folder via FTP and the site is showing again :). Apparently Edume template is not compatible with this plug in.
