Is there any plug-in or way to set up the buddypress/bbpress forum so that it emulates what other typical forums do. Allow the creation of a topic, and then sub topic folders within the topic?

Can you set up such a system so that there is a global forum with sub forums that all members to your site can access, and then members of your site with like interests can set-up their own groups and create their own forums with topics and sub-topic management. (I believe from what I have seen, Buddypress wants to have these subsets of the membership come together to create groups that form one topic forum threads that do not allow the threads to be grouped together in folders.)
