I’ve put my port of _ck_’s bbPress attachments plugin into the WP plugin repository: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/forum-attachments-for-buddypress/. I hope someone can get some use out of it, and maybe provide a bit of feedback about parts that are and aren’t working.

I installed the original and it didn’t work. Haven’t tried the ported version mentioned in this thread.
