Friend Request Loop Stuck

Hi there,

I have an up-to-date BuddyPress site and a member sent me a friend request, but the email keeps coming through every few minutes. I now have almost 100 friend requests from this person. I tried accepting her as a friend, but even then, it keeps sending emails.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

The only way an email keeps coming through is if the friend request is made consecutively. Can you confirm that there are multiple friend requests from the same user in the database table?

If you are familiar with checking the database (with phpMyAdmin, Adminer or whatever), please check the wp_bp_friends table and see if there are multiple records for the requested friendship.

Ahhh I figured out the issue. Someone is adding everybody on the site as a friend, but all the request are coming into my email box. Thanks r-a-y.
