Friends show up in ”Send to” private message field. What happens when friends component is disabled?

    When sending a private message, is there a way to have a username automatically display, in the “Send to” field, while typing in a few letters, when the BP friends function is disabled? I noticed that this feature only works if the BP Component Setup is set to allow the creation of friend connections between users. :)
