Group Creation Generating Errors – BuddyPress Media

When I create a group, it goes through the first three steps fine, but then I get this message every time:
Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in …/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-media/app/main/controllers/group/RTMediaGroupExtension.php on line 20
My users can’t create groups, but they can add media and albums. What’s happening?
