Group default commenting system

    Hi. I don’t want to activate forums within Buddypress groups until there is enough activity to make it worthwhile. From what I can see (I know I can turn forums off), a basic group set up uses the WordPress commenting system. I’ve seen BP sites where the groups have activity listed such as forum postings etc and then you click on the links to go to the forum posts, but is there a way to make the groups more than a commenting page which I think is the default?
