group documents plugin – list documents in sidebar

Hi All,
I’ve got groupd documents plugin loaded and is a peach! One thing I’d like to do is list the documents of the group in the sidebar rather than clicking the documents tab that then appears.
I tried copying the main loop to my sidebar (default template) but to no avail. I also tried calling the index file of the plugin (which has the loop) as an include – again to no avail.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!?!?!?!? I’d be most grateful for any assistance on this.
