Group mods bug in Beta 1.9

I just noticed that Group Moderators have no access or any control over Group actions.

I was busy inside my own theme so I thought I’d messed something up but when I switched back to a default WP TwentyTwelve theme I noticed the same error.

When I as a Group Admin promote another regular member to Moderator of this Group he doesn’t get access to any settings of the Group at all.
Normally he should be able to Kick, Bann, Delete stuff inside this Group but now it looks like he’s just being treated as a regular member instead.

Anybody else noticed this error ?

But shouldn’t een Moderator have control over comments inside the group ?

Okay he can not edit the group description or delete the group as a moderator but I think a moderator should be able to bann people, en edit comments inside the group.

Thats what moderators do, keeping an eye on things.

Right now he can edit only when bbPress is active. He can only moderate on topics and replies not in BP-groups.
Maybe if thats’ what they want – delete this moderate option IF bbPress = not_active.
Because right now you can make somebody moderator but he’s still a regular Member when you don’t use bbPress inside Groups.

@macpresss I agree in the sense that any additional role for the Group Moderator should be configurable by Site/Group Admins. You can submit a ticket to enhance Mod role at https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/
