Group search not working when made as Frontpage

    In our site, we made Groups page as Front page (by going to Settings > Reading > Front page)

    When searched for a group name in the search box in group directory, the query is getting redirected to main page and showing no results. For e.g. localhost\groups\s?=search-term is getting automatically redirected to localhost\s?=search-term and is searching for search-term in blog posts and not getting the results

    In the Settings > Reading > Posts is set to a page with listing of blog posts, but still no luck

    Can someone please help

    On a default configuration there is no change to the group search when you set it to be on the front page like this so it should work.

    Have you tried deactivating all the plugins and checking if it works then? Also try the 2016 theme.
